WHAT WE DO

Romeileh G. Jaffrey

Founder of Girls Safe, an international women’s developmental organization. I was born and grew up in Iran after the Islamic Revolution. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Law and subsequent to that I got my Master’s Degree in International Law. I worked in the Judicial Branch of Government for many years and then went to Malaysia to continue my studies. I came to America in 2014, without any financial support and by myself, all alone started a new life from scratch. I initially worked as a television presenter and contributor, then as a television producer and director in human rights and humanitarian programs and channels. In 2022, after the Woman-Life-Freedom world wide movement began, I participated in and led the logistics of organizing the biggest demonstrations in Los Angeles, with up to 100,000 people in attendance at a time. Currently, my focus is on the basic rights of women and girls who have been oppressed and are escaping their circumstances. Because of this I participate in all the related programs at the United Nations, especially the UN’s female-centric activities.
